CHAMPIONSHIPS

Denise Cockrell finished 2nd in State and the Doubles Team of Boyum and Montgomery took 3rd leading to the first Team Championship in School History.

The Suns won their first of two state championsips in baseball. vs Kentwood. Final Score was 6-4.

Our Dance team earned its 1st of our team championships with a shared title with Meadowdale each earning 276 points and earning a superior rating.

The Heatwave Dance team earned its 2nd Statechampionship in a row in the Hip Hop Category with a 1st place finish in Hip Hop with 464 points and a superior rating. The suns also earned a 2nd Place Overall finish in regular dance, missing a dual title by 4 points.

The Heatwave finished their dominant three year title run with a 1st place Championship in Hip Hop with 479 points and a Superior Rating.

The Boys golf team including 4th place finisher Nick Mandell, Daniel Cruzen, Nick Atkin, Philip Markman scored well enough to eek out a 2pt win over Mt. Spokane to earn our first Golf State Title as a team.

The Suns Heatwave Dance team capped their fourth Dance title with a Hip Hop win in 2016. This was the 4th state title for the Suns and Coach Liz Stiles.

The 2016 girls team dominated the field and beat Kamikian for their first team championship. 86.50-78. Teammates Therese Warner, Samantha Hui, Meredith Hibbard played solid golf the whole weekend.

The Suns won their 2nd of two State Championships with a 11-6 victory over Kelso.
