Ashlee Hampton Makes Her Mark at Districts
Ashlee Hampton, a senior bowler at Southridge High School, delivered an outstanding performance at the Mid-Columbia Conference District Championship, placing second overall with an impressive 188 average across three games. Her consistent scoring and composure under pressure played a key role in Southridge’s surprising second-place team finish, exceeding expectations in a highly competitive field.
Hampton’s success went beyond individual accolades. Alongside her teammates, she helped elevate the Suns to a podium finish, showcasing both leadership and teamwork in a meet filled with strong programs. The result marked a memorable moment for the Southridge bowling program.
Equally impressive is Hampton’s dedication in the classroom. A strong student as well as an athlete, she balances her academic responsibilities with her commitment to the sport. This season’s achievements have earned her a spot at the state tournament, where she will make her first appearance alongside teammate Maya Ruiz.
As Hampton and Ruiz prepare to represent Southridge at state, Hampton’s district performance stands as a testament to her hard work, consistency, and determination—both on the lanes and off.
